Ledger’s new post comes in response to a post by crypto user “James Rule” XRP”, which presented a fake email purporting to be from Ledger notifying it of a security update being released following the quantum attacks.
In a separate tweet, Ledger emphasized that awareness of common online scams is crucial for digital asset owners, especially with the rise of phishing attacks in the ecosystem.
If a message seems suspicious, it’s important to pause. Never click on any links or share personal information. Any information should be verified through Ledger’s official channels.
Ledger once again emphasized that its employees will never call, send private messages, or request passwords from users to restore access to their wallets. Only scammers act this way. Therefore, the company urges cryptocurrency users to exercise caution and a healthy dose of distrust.
