Stablecoin issuer Circle запустил USDC Bridge, a new user interface based on the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) designed to simplify cross-chain transfers of the USDC stablecoin.
In Circle сообщили, that the new interface allows USDC to be transferred in a “predictable and transparent manner” thanks to its own coin burning and issuance mechanism.
The transaction fee will be charged automatically, its amount will be indicated in advance, and the status will be displayed in real time throughout the transfer.
USDC Bridge supports USDC transfers between 17 virtual machine-compatible blockchains. EthereumIncluding Ethereum, avalanche, Arbitum, Base, Monad, Optimism, Polygon, Sonic and World Network.
USDC Bridge is built on Circle’s CCTP technology, which was introduced in April 2023 and enables hundreds of millions of stablecoin transfers daily. It eliminates the need for wrapped and synthetic versions of USDC.
The launch of the new interface from Circle is happening in the background critics companies regarding the fact that didn’t freeze USDC worth approximately $230 million passed through its CCTP as a result of the Drift Protocol exploit on April 1st.
