  • According to a Bloomberg analyst ETF Eric Balciunas, from March outperforms -ETF GLD by 33 percentage points.
  • IBIT saw $4,2 billion in inflows, while GLD saw $9 billion in outflows, resulting in a $13 billion capital flow discrepancy.
  • This shift signals an accelerated shift by institutional investors from traditional safe-haven assets to digital alternatives.

Senior Bloomberg Analyst ETF сообщил, that since March spot bitcoin ETF iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) Outperforms Gold ETF SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) by 33 percentage points.

According to the expert, during this period, IBIT attracted approximately $4,2 billion in net inflows, while GLD saw a net outflow of $9 billion. This $13 billion difference reflects a massive revaluation of what investors consider a “safe haven” in the macroeconomic environment.

Traditionally, gold has served as a primary hedge during periods of financial instability. However, regulated bitcoin ETF have become another source of liquidity that has similar scarcity characteristics, but is more volatile and potentially more profitable.

BlackRock’s regular inflows into IBIT demonstrate that institutional investors are increasingly viewing digital assets as part of a “diversified macro hedging strategy rather than as a purely speculative instrument.” Meanwhile, the outflows from GLD indicate that some capital is being reallocated from traditional physical assets to digital currency-based instruments.
