In the first quarter of 2026, the American investment bank sharply reduced its stake in cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds. According to reportGoldman Sachs sold all its shares in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission XRP-ETF and SOL-ETF.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the bank owned XRP- funds Bitwise, Franklin Templeton, Grayscale and 21Shares for almost $154 million, as well as Grayscale shares Solana Trust ETF, Bitwise Solana Staking ETF and Fidelity Solana End.
Since the beginning of the year, Goldman Sachs has also reduced its stake in iShares by 70%. Ethereum Trust, retaining about $7,2 million in shares. эфириум- a fund of approximately $114 million.
At the same time, the investment bank continues to hold large positions in bitcoin ETFIn the first quarter, Goldman Sachs held $690 million in BlackRock’s IBT and $25 million in Fidelity’s FBTC fund. However, both positions have been reduced by 10% since the start of 2026.
The rebalancing also affected the shares of several companies, as the bank reduced its stake in BitMine Immersion Technologies, Bit Digital, Riot Platforms, Strategy, and IREN. At the same time, it increased its stake in Circle Internet Group by 249% and Galaxy Digital by 205%. Additionally, it acquired shares in Coinbase Global, Robinhood Markets, and PayPal Holdings.
