Donald Trump announced the appointment of 13 representatives from the crypto, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and other tech industries to his Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, established by executive order in January 2025.
The council will include Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Oracle CTO Larry Ellison, and other representatives of major tech companies. In total, there will be up to 24 members, many of whom will be appointed in the near future. said the White House.

The council will be co-chaired by David Sachs, who oversees artificial intelligence and cryptocurrency at the White House, and Michael Kratsios, Trump’s science adviser. Kratsios will «advise the president on issues related to science, technology, education, and innovation policy.»
The council members were appointed less than a week after the White House released its national AI vision. Trump pressed Republicans to pass the SAVE America Act, which would require proof of citizenship for voter registration, declaring that he «won’t sign any other bills» until that legislation is passed.
