Cryptocurrency is becoming a hot topic among young UK voters, as it has moved beyond trading and into political debate. A Coinbase survey found high awareness and growing support for policies aimed at supporting cryptocurrency.
The results survey A Coinbase survey of 1660 young Britons found that one in four voters would support pro-cryptocurrency candidates. The highest support was seen among reform voters (46%) and Conservatives (40%), compared to 29% among Labour supporters.

Around 65% of young voters understand Bitcoin, compared to 43% who are familiar with ISAs (InStocks and Shares). Around half believe cryptocurrencies will positively impact their financial future, while support among Labour voters reaches 55%.
The UK’s plan to lower the voting age to 16 could add 1,3 million new voters, potentially increasing the political influence of cryptocurrencies.

Interestingly, no party currently openly supports cryptocurrencies, so there is currently no political support among young people.
